Re: What and who is this Coko brick stuff???

(...) Coke is the real thing, Coko is not. Whenever you buy bulk lots, there will always be clones and tiny parts from non-construction toys. Bit like a lucky dip, as long as you got a good deal, don't fret too much. Search off-topic.clone for Coko, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

What and who is this Coko brick stuff???

I just came back from some ladies place who I bumped into at target yesterday and I bought some Lego and she was telling me she had some. So I went around and bought some, but to my disgust there were some 'coko' Lego type garbage in there, VERY (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Atlast! Lego Catalogs in Brisbane

Well either I am late or I just work too hard. I finally found a lego catalog up here in Brisbane in some funny looking 'wanna-be' box. The Dogalog :P, is quite thick I say! My husband went ga-ga over a few things like the Software, and considering (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Toyworld Special

(...) Hi Jane, good to see you back and posting. Once you have a fest, there's no turning back, our first meeting had four. (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au.sa.ade, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

(...) Ahh! so that's what Birkenhead Point was! I have a Fabuland keyring with it on the back... now I understand cheers sue ann (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Wanted: Sea creatures

(...) Anything less than four would destroy my planned symmetrical structure. I'd say keep pestering Paul, I'm sure he will tire of finding innovative ways to use it. One went on ebay for over US$20 ! Maybe we will see them in the dining accessory (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pete loves Caffeine!! (was Re: Fetid Backwater Update)

(...) It looks small for Duplo scale, but the correct size for minifig scale. Those carrots look minifig size. pete.w (longing to live in his traditional homelands) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Wanted: Sea creatures

(...) LoL - speaking of the chip and dip. Do you have a spare one I can buy off you, Pete? I have the perfect use for one... cheers sue ann (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

(...) Birkenhead Point was the place. It was once a tyre factory, set up when the world was a place where smelly factories sat on riverfront properties. It was developed into a shopping complex in the late seventies/early eighties. It has been (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Pete loves Penrith!! (was Re: Fetid Backwater Update)

(...) Meanwhile in the shopping mecca of chatswood, Tar-zhay has <consonant indicating "not much at" deleted>-ay, unless you want slizers or the largest arctic set, while GBs seemed to have almost all of the new LoM, Star Wars and DUPLO at quite (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

It was truly an impressive place. When you think of how the move now is for businesses to have super-stores rather than chains of little stores everywhere, this took the cake. It was wall to wall lego, not just boxes of stock mind you. There was (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

(...) Well, I thought they said a year ago, but they are elderly rellies, so maybe their grasp of time isn't the best. Or maybe I just misunderstood them. They clearly believed it still existed because they were exhorting me to go along there. Even (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

Lego used to have their office and a major display/store at Drummoyne. Right next to the Iron Cove bridge by the bay. However I'm a bit concerned they said it was only a year ago. I remember it closing down when I used to have to beg parents to buy (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Fabulous LEGO store in Drummoyne, Sydney?

When visiting rellies in Sydney last week, one of them told me that there was a fabulous store in Drummoyne [spelling?] which sold only Lego. They claimed to have visited this store about a year or so ago, where there were huge permanent displays (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: bizarre changes to postage stamps due to GST

(...) I agree it's a fine line but you have put your finger on the nub of the problem: a stamp is a receipt. If GST was charged on the service and not on the stamps, then buying a stamp would simply be a receipt fo advanced payment received by (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Looks like the lawyers have struck..

Today I recieved an email as part of the mailing list for www.lego.au.com which I will not post (due to legal risks). Essentially what it said is that the domain name is still owned by the site maintainers but will not be used as the top end (co. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: LEGOZ LOGO SAMPLE.....????

(...) Maybe have the "Oz" below the brick, and covering half of it sort-of? Or have the "Oz" rotated 90 deg going down, remove the brick, and use a 1x1 brick profile (similar to brickshelf) as a backdrop? Dunno, just brainstorming here. ROSCO (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: 2001 Catalogue observations

(...) I seem to recall someone somewhere mentioned Spring (USA) ah yes, here it is (URL) seems to indicate fairly soon, but that's the US. No guarantee whether we'll get it the same time. ROSCO (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  2001 Catalogue observations

The Mindstorms RIS still shows as 1.5, does this mean that 2.0 will not be available until later in the year? I see with trains, that a few of the older sets are making a comeback, but points seem to have disappeared. It says that you can get the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
