Re: what happened to the cheap lego?

You're obviously not reading the newsgroup! There have been several posts just recently about K-Mart specials. Jonathan Wilson wrote in message <3A51C105.D0D03151@t...com.au>... (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

what happened to the cheap lego?

Is there anything much on special at the moment? The 6829 ufo sets at big W (the only store that had any just HAD to be the one that was halfway across town) are the best deal on lego I have ever seen but is there anything else thats on (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

best place to get discontinued sets

I have found that toyworld is a good place to find discontinued lego (like the 6104 I found at the whitfords store today, now that was a find!). The major chains always seem to move discontinued stock around the country all the time (usually never (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Starwars Slave 1 (Was: 7171 Pod racer for $70 at KMart)

(...) Having recently acquired one of these at a bargain price a month or so ago (courtesy of Toyworld Robina and Aaron Coghill), I finally got around to building it today. I can't say the model thrills me too much. The mechanism for keeping the (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Local happenings in Australia

Just a note to let people know that I've thrown together a bulletin board type page, with essential links and upcoming events listed. Any suggested improvements?   A good price for 6493 Flybo?

(...) They were being sold locally, and I think exclusively, through the World Club a few months ago for $30: this was part of the Korean shipment. Otherwise you might find one for $50-80 in a low turnover store. --DaveL And a quick plug if I may!! (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: 7171 Pod racer for $70 at KMart

(...) Most of them were cleared out pretty quickly, early in 2000: I think you'd be lucky to find one now (unless you asked Pete really really nicely). Don't miss out on the Slave 1 (with Boba Fett) for $21!! --DaveL (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

What is a good price for 6493 Flybo?

What sort of price should I pay for the 6493 Flybo? Has anyone seen any at a good price lately? Martin (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

7171 Pod racer for $70 at KMart

Hi, I was in KMart this morning, picking up a Boss Roborider, and I noticed that there was a big empty space alongside the Boss sets. Having a look at the shelf, I noticed the pricetag underneath said 'Mos Espa Podrace - $70'. I was fairly (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Shell sets available

TRavewlling towards Canberra today I stopped at Sutton Forest. The Shell Patrol Station had nothing, but the food place (forgotten name), had a couple of 1256's for 19.95, and dozens of the small sets (no idea what number) for 2.95. (25 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: e-bay no longer reveals e-mail addresses?

(...) Australian ebay still has the bid history with emails function. With US ebay, you would have to call up the bid history and then click on each individual user name to get the email address, a somewhat longer process. pete.w (25 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
