Re: no reserves on aussie ebay

(...) I'd ponder how their sample size compared to Lego's colour change sample size, but I'd just be accused of stirring up trouble about... well... you know... ;-) (...) My eBay purchases are pretty much restricted to bargains, and few of those (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) I don't watch much TV at all, and I only ever buy the weekend newspapers. Catalogues in my letterbox seem to be rather a hit and miss affair at the moment (not delivered in a timely manner if at all). From this rather limited perspective I can (...)   Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) Do Big Dubya even have an advertising campaign, if they do it shows the impact it has on me, though I only watch satellite TV (which does have Target ads). I wonder how many normal toy shoppers do the price-checking Lugnet ALFs do. Maybe they (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

  no reserves on aussie ebay

Got an email from ebay(australia) saying they were getting rid of 'reserve' amounts for auctions. They said it was only for auctions run through .au, as opposed to running auctions in other currencies like in US$ which means they would run as per (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) They are advertising a hell of a lot for not a hell of a lot, aren't they? I suppose they think they'll fool the masses with lots of bright light and noise, but from the conversations I've had so far I don't think it's working very well! (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Today the bundle scanned at $109.95, same as shelf tag. As Aaron pointed out, even at the sale price of $99.99 the "free" tub certainly isn't free, plus it looks pretty cheap and cr*ppy. Deidre (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Target Toy Sale Catalogue is out now (some things really amuse me)

(...) Due to my fondness for minority colours, I'll no doubt acquire some blurple some time (I was just jumping on the Blandwagon for a couple of stops). Bit of a pain to have to purchase a HC2 for every MKB though. Is Target's extra profit an (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Quite a nice play on words there by Shakespeare, since it was the second sword (held en-passant in the left hand) that was poisoned, hence sinister in both the Latin and English meanings of the word. :) It's been a while since I've read some (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
