Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Do you know why they made that piece? Along with [LDrawPart 2458:1] They provide a way of connecting modules without having the Technic peg migrate to the wrong side when disconnecting. The two-pronged version provides a way to connect modules (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) To be fair, it is one of these: [LDrawPart 30526:1] Not the most useful piece ever made... I reckon they're just trying to ged rid of all their blue stock before next year, where we will see new 'Bluish' Blue, shifted toward the blue spectrum (...)   Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) I bought a 8774 Vladek and my 2 cents worth (is that still legal opinion tender in Oz?) is that is it a cool toy for a decent price. Not really my taste for MOC'ing with but better than Galidor. Would have liked studs on the outside of the (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Not serious enough!? It's blue! You just don't understand how seriously some people (well, one people) feel about this colour... (...) That's obly because I was so irate about the inclussion of *blue* in an otherwise exellent set! ;-) Cheers (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Na. Not serious enough. It was almost TOO predictable. Better luck next time. But if it's unfounded criticism you fancy, you spelt understand wrong. Hope that helps! (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) I've been quietly fuming ever since I read Michael's post. A blue piece!? How could they!? Don't they undertstand their fan base!? No wonder it's called blue. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm certainly going to be buying less of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Reminder: Target Toy Sale next week

Target sale starts Thursday 22nd, catalogue will be online late afternoon on Monday 19th (4.30pm I think). Target Hobart has been getting in toy sale stock for the last week or so (not marked down yet of course). As for Lego, look out for 4 pack (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) My son has just turned 9. At his party on the weekend, he received (amongst other things) an assortment of Bionicles, and a Knights Kingdom figure - the dark eviiil one. At time of receipt the KK figure was deemed the most exciting thing ever (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Not from K or W, but I recently got a 4403 Airblazers. Beeyotiful set, good to see Lego's still got it (or at least had it last year). And it has exactly one blue piece. Kerry is vindicated, it seems. Michael (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) I had indeed forgotten! Where would evil be today without those minions who can't hit the side of a barn at six feet, say "hold your fire, there are no life forms aboard", open the castle door to the little old washerwomen, doze off while (...)   Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) It really is an odd agument isn't it? 'We'll prove them wrong by giving them what they want'. It really is a lose/lose situation for TLG in my opinion. Only one thing will redeem the situation! That is, if due to this change Lego release the (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) See, everyone forgets us Evil Minions, aka cannon fodder. We the dedicated, nameless, faceless peons with little training and virtually no offensive skills, actually make it ok for gangs of brightly armoured goons to physically abuse (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Just checked out the image from the lugnet guide, looks like the flavour has been sucked out of them, reminds me of sad clone attempts at figs. (...) Even I haven't used the light-orange ones from earlier HP (thinking about it..) (...) Is that (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) I'm guessing this mostly stems from the Lando issue. If they start releasing a few sets here and there that include brown minifigs, but still keep using the classic yellow ones in the same set, it'll look terribly racist for them to not use (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Lego Australia delivers

After discovering a misformed piece in my knight bus, and playing telephone tag with the nice folks at Lego Australia, I made contact with them. "Oh dear", she said, and explained that it's a new set and a new part, and they didn't have any spares (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

Was quite taken with the Harry Potter set 4753 Sirius Black's Escape ((URL) Really digging the little details and overall design, fairly true to the source material as well, already thinking I will pull out a few extra curved wall peices and build (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Neither purchase nor comment, I'm afraid. Although I do have some indication that Fathers' Day present(s?) has been purchased and concealed somewhere about the house. (...) It's traditional for good guys to gang up on the evildoers, isn't it? (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Read Sales in the Subset

Everything has gone quiet... Any comments about any sets purchased during the current K and W sales ? We purchased four of the five large Knights' Kingdom figures for our son. He calls them human Bionicles. Only thing is he wants us to buy 4 of the (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
