Re: A Grest Star Wars Weekend!

(...) Well, I had to think about this one because I want to keep on good terms with the park. A park rep gave us a "suggested idea" after Sunday's ISD build and I personally feel it would be better for a park or company rep (like Jake) to make an (...)   Re: A Grest Star Wars Weekend!

(...) Actually there were 4 R2D2s. The park had recently replaced the LEGO R2D2 at the front. And one of the tech guys at the park decided to retrofit the old one with RC control and motors of the feet and head. Most of the old figures in the park (...)   Re: A Grest Star Wars Weekend!

(...) See, we took care of the kid issue by including them on the team ;-). Seriously, I understand what you mean; wind would be a pain. (...) OK, enough with the teasers - any hints? A fleet of ISDs hanging from the ceiling, clustered around the (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.org.us.lugola, lugnet.org.us.sandlug, lugnet.starwars)

  A Grest Star Wars Weekend!

It was a great weekend at the park. OK, so there wasn't the vast number of MOCs you would see at a fest but there were enough there that it certainly impressed the viewing public. Even with all the kids there, the only MOC that endured a tough time (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.org.us.lugola, lugnet.org.us.sandlug, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Best options for transport to LLCA

(...) Jeff, LA and San Diego County run separate transport systems. They meet at Oceanside Transit Center just inside SD county. I don't know the LA system, I think it's called MetroLink. But I do know they go to Oceanside. You may also want to use (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Best options for transport to LLCA

(...) I can help you out with public transportation info (use it all the time.) Your best bet from Anaheim would be to catch an Amtrak train ((URL) look under Pacific Surfliner) to Oceanside. Oceanside is a major North/South transit hub (Amtrak, (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Best options for transport to LLCA

I'd rent a car and drive (or maybe catch a ride with another AFOL?). I think the Coaster's Northernmost stop is Oceanside, though the San Diegans can correct me on that one.. I think you could take the Surfliner to Oceanside and then the Coaster (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Best options for transport to LLCA

I'll be in Anaheim (specifically at the Convention Center) over the 4th of July weekend, and was hoping to go to LLCA on June 30th. I'm not very familiar with tansportation options to Carlsbad from that area, so I'm wondering what my best bet to get (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.legoland.california)
