| | Re: 10001 & 10002 arrived today
|
| (...) You must be a relatively new AFOL, Mike. You may have had to wait a month or two, but consider that there are many AFOLs who have been coveting Metroliners and Club Cars for literary *years*. For these sets (and any sets, for that matter) to (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

| In lugnet.lego.direct, Sheree Rosenkrantz writes: <snip> (...) Just a little story to reenforce this. When I was little my parents got me my first set of LEGO. Don't remember what it was but the got it from Sears mail order and it came in a plain (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

| | Re: 10020 limited to 10000 sets or not?
|
| (...) Agreed. And conversely, not everyone who spends a lot of money on new LEGO sets *is* a fan. This is just a personal beef of mine, not the way that LEGO should do business. (...) Or rather they *had* high ideals. (...) I totally agree. Which is (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

By retailers, do you mean US/Canadian retailers, or do you mean that all retailers worldwide will have the sets...and if US/Canada, can you please remember that there are people in other countries who will want them and could become rather (...) | | Re: what makes a legend?

| (...) I have to disagree a little with this only because I don't think that we should relegate the only sets issued 'in that vein' to being the half dozen 'Legends' that LEGO releases each year. I would hope instead, that as LEGO senses the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

|
| How about a book of legends? Reprint the old contruction manuals from sets in the 60s - 80s in one large book. Sets that you cannot/will not reissue, so that the book won't compete with your own products. The plans on Brickshelf are generally not (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Pandora's box has officially been opened:-) As for your analysis of the tank car, I think you are correct-- the ladder shouldn't penetrate the tank cylinder, but rather run up the outside of it.
