Re: bulk ordering is (not) here! (was - Re: bulk ordering is her e! )

(...) First question: (URL) which introduces (URL) question: I haven't run the comparison, but someone in the thread resulting from Brad's recent post did, and found that the bulk sets were about AU$0.016 per stud in Australia, and US$0.011 per stud (...) (...) (Jeff removed the link out of courtesy to Lego) What sets feature those 1x4x6 doors? I don't think I own any of them (but I will soon!) Dave! (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) True enough, but my take on this is that more than likely LEGO is not going to make each of the pieces that I described in this thread as an individual parts pack (at least I would be surprised if they did). Some of these you would have to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

RE: bulk ordering is (not) here! (was - Re: bulk ordering is her e! )

(...) And what about places like Australia, where the sets cost considerably more than the cost of having them sent airmail from the US..or even UK? I'm personally hoping that LD decide on a global price for the items, and then add postage to this, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I was confused about this as well. I explicitly had the operator verify that these trans thin walls are identical to those used in 4561. These are light blue trans-blue thin walls as opposed to the dark blue variety seen in aquanaut and other sets. (...) (...) I would argue that the LARGEST and SMALLEST bricks/tiles/plates are more useful - we can get the "standard" sizes in sets and tubs/buckets in decent amounts, but the very large and very small are scarce. The very large are useful for large (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Question re: the bulk discount

(...) This suggests that they may be working out how to handle volume orders, so they have given a code which works well with the current system (this is a similar deal to the buy 10 sets off this page, so the code to work this deal exists already).   Re: Lego Direct Parts Selection

(...) Actually I'm a bit annoyed by the lack of small bricks. In particular I need a ton of 1x1 and 1x2 bricks in Lt. Grey for my Castle sets. Plus I'd like to get some in the other colors for detail work (considering the color selection my wife is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

MY thoughts on the whole thing are that TLG just needed to add extra to cover S&H charges, and make it possible to order via S@H USA, or through their web page, for Australia and countries in a similar fix. How they handle things like import duties, (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Lego Direct Parts Selection

Brad, It's good to see you folks being clever about your limited piece selection - not including the smallest bricks probably works out for most of us. Glad to see you're really exercising the grey matter on this. Now that I've placed my (1st) (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: bulk ordering is here!

(...) Wow, I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be. Pricing is a little whacky on some elements in some colors, but that comes from Lego looking at a grey brick as the same as a red brick since they probably cost them the same to make. Doubt it'll (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.publish, lugnet.cad)

  Why Lego, Why

This is to Brad. Why is Lego not making pneumatics. I ordered to sets of hoses, switches, and cylinders and only got the cylinders. Is the hydraulics taking over? If they are I wish they would make cylinders you can control like the pneumatics. Adam (24 years ago, 10-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)
