Hey! this seems like serioiusly a resonable thing to ask LD for, in connection
with ordering elements. I wonder if they've got anything prepared for online
color selection. (?)
So many companies provide things like a free set of color swatches (or cost $X
without placing an order). I'm thinking of paper companies, fabric sellers, and
even furniture makers like Herman Miller who have swatch sets for their Aeron
chair. Come to think of it, I've seen plastics companies provide industrial
designers with thick color tiles.
Anyway, it's fun to imagine what a LD color swatch guide could be like. I'm sure
their color division at LEGO has the absolutely precise matching capability to
do something simple on heavy cardstock. Could even have the metalics and
transparents- kinda like the AVON nail polish catalog. (not that many of you
guys have seen those, but perhaps).
Then, if they actually made little elements as samples, it'd be perfect to have
something like the 2x2 plate with extention for hole.. must look up part... Ah!
cool, here it is:

Imagine dozens of those on a string? Color combo heaven! Of course I'm just
daydreaming, but...
