My understanding is that pre-orders via credit card will be required for all
bulk purchases and that LEGO Direct will not do bulk production runs of any
element of any type until some minimum threshold is met (in terms of actual
money collected). Disclaimer: I could be wrong, but this is what I got from
Brad's post Sunday night and a phone conversation a week ago. It may only
hold true for a few months, or it may always be the case. (I believe it's the
only smart way for them to run the business -- holding inventory is bad.)

If I wanted them too, I'd put in (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)
