Actually, I'm also sure that there is no possibility of "availability of
everything IN everywhere", but I wish there would be a possibility of
"availability of everything TO everywhere".
Being a citizen of a low-life-standard-3rd-worlder-country, and being
not a stupidly idealistic person, I'm sure about the facts of our
current market value. It's not an ignorably small one apparently, at
least we have Turkish-only catalogs, distributed freely, and also I've
seen several TLC-organized happenings around, like tower building record
breaking event and such. But obviously, not a considerable market, too,
especially for the bulk ordering and such other things targeting adult
fans (at least, I'm the only Turkish online AFOL right now, AFAIK).
So, I don't even imagine having a lego.direct.tr or something like that,
but my hope is having a (preferably on-line of course) distribution
channel of a greater market (lego.direct.middleeast? lego.direct.eu?)
also servicing for countries like Turkey, and of course I will be more
than happy to pay for the additional shipping costs.
I'm sure this is possible. I'm an amazon.com customer for three years,
ordering every month, and also ordered several lego sets from DYA, as
well as other things from other on-line stores. And never had any
problems about anything related.
I asked several times to Brad to clear which countries are they planning
to include the Direct chain, during the last several months, just as
several other AFOLS from other relatively ignored countries, but didn't
receive any answer to my single and simple question. I also asked the
same things by fax to Lego Istanbul, several times, but again there is
still no answer. I don't believe that I'm worthless this much, that I
don't deserve a single minute e-mail or news message, I'm a customer at
least, but obviously they don't care. It's not shocking news that TRUs
here stopped selling Lego, filled the available shelf space with other
cheap imitation brands.
It started as a simple reply, but turns out to be a rather long rant,
sorry..:-)
