It may not be as hopeless for all independent toy store that wish to sell Lego. There is an independent toy store here in Calgary, Alberta that does sell Lego, and they stock quite a bit of Lego. Also, I was able to pick up the Studios Monsters sets (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I understand there is a set of rules for being able to order wholesale from TLC, anyone know what they are? What about the "rules" for being allowed to sell online? (22 years ago, 2-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I'm glad to hear someone bring this up (even if it's sad to hear). The toy seller above is hardly alone. I've heard this kinda stuff over and over. TLC knows all about their poor service. (...) I regularly go to a toy store in Keene, NH (Toy City) & the manager of the store knows that I'm a Lego fanatic & he lets me see the yearly retail catalog when he gets it. If Lego thinks they are penetrating the market just (...) In Richmond VA, The Toy Shoppe, Toys that Teach with (two locations), Toymaker of Williamsburg, The South Pole, and my favorite, The World of Mirth, all are great independent toy stores (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) YES!! The Lego company is sooooo hard to work with. i have a friend back east that goes thru the same things as so very well stated above. But also, they are just hard to work with period.
