(...) Good idea. Amazon.com (in the US anyway) gives a limited version of this, letting you select between "ship in minimum number of packages" or "ship each item as it becomes available (for extra cost"... thus giving the customer control AND (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I placed a small 'bulk' order online a few weeks ago. 5 different items (plus a free tshirt), total of about a dozen packs. Wow! This sounds like a step in the right direction.
