(...) Bionicle has some interesting features to it that could make it popular with a different crowd. I won't say anything against it till it has had a chance. (...) (...) My favorite Adult line heard in a store is "Where's the castle stuff, you know, the kind that came with the princesses." This was said to me in TRU during the Fright Knights era. Come to think of it, I never had any sets with princesses at any (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) As I am an assistant Manager at a KB toys I can confirm that this happens alot. Most (roughly 75%) of the people that come into the store do not realize that the Mega Blocks sets are not Lego brand. One woman today actually asked me if the (...) (...) I have to totally agree with this.. my mom mistook megablocks for LEGO and bought me a Desert Patrol from a yard sale sort of thing. It wasn't the same as LEGO but I could see how anyone who wasn't a true LEGO fan and just liked playing with (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) While I agree to an extent - I'll semi-defend LEGO here. AFOLs don't have all the facts in front of them (as an employee or two have pointed out to me a couple times when I've mentioned price). There are factors like cost of the plastic (tied (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Video games were as popular or more popular in the late 70s - early 90s as they are now. (...) Video games were popular during the 80s, but not to the level they are now. Todays video games are more realistic are more exciting than they were in the 80s. Okay, Joe (and Dan)- Although I can't speak for TLC, I bet I have a good idea as to what they would say to your collective concerns, and rather than let a brush fire blaze out of control here, let me point out a few things which hopefully will help (...)   This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

Ok, this is going to be a long message. Just to get who I am straight, I'm Dan Simonson, I'm 13, I've played with Legos since I was 3. I got a whole bunch of bricks from my sister, who once got them from my brother, who's 30 now. This is where my (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

to lego direct re lego legends/classic

I understand from what people have been saying on lunget that lego is unable to produce any new "space" sets because lego is making the starwars sets. My question is this: Does this also mean that lego direct wont be rereleasing classic or legensd (...) (23 years ago, 7-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
