lego should make multimodel instructions (ala 6861)

much like they did with blacktron II and M:TRON. Heres how it would work: 1.the lego design team would come up with a model built using only parts from 3 specific sets. Examples that would work the alpha team helicopter, the alpha team cruiser and (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) What part of "wimps" were you having trouble with? :-) All kidding aside, the wagon plate has its place. It does give you a nice overhang in certain situations.   Re: Where to start

(...) The wagon plate is supposedly warped. I didn't buy any of these, wagon plates are for wimps who can't build proper subframes for themselves, so I can't say, but I digress. That is, if you set it down on a flat, true surface, one corner sits (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)
