Greetings! I have finally gotten caught up after the holiday break and then the mad rush to get back up to speed when you get back to the office! Anyway, I have been sorting through the lugnet.lego.direct newsgroup and wanted to respond to/update a (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct) !!

I'm sure the fine print isn't intended to mean TLC would actually consider releasing the winning model as a retail set (if only they would..), but it must be intended to be able to depict the winning model in commercials, press releases and the (...) (...) Good point. Combining subthreads... would a non exclusive royalty free license granted at entry solve that problem? IANAL so I am just guessing wildly but I think it might. If LEGO receives a bunch of ideas and designs but does not obtain the rights then they must check every new design they market against the entries to insure (...) I do not think most of us want to make any money off our creations, but should we have to give up all rights to our work? Do other contests that judge artistic creations require that the artist relinquish all rights to the creation? (Really, I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

LEGO is giving you the opportunity to build something you love and to show it off to everyone while they stand proudly behind you. You want to moan and complain about that? Ashamed you all should be.
