Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) If it's 5% of the "profit" then the designer might conceivably ending up owing money to LEGO... ;) Why wouldn't retail outlets carry them? Micro town sets? Excellent point-of-sale impulse buy object, especially since it looks like they'll fit (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

Yeah, a Mac or Linux version would be nice, but we will never see them. I don't have any inside info, but I would assume that TLC's programmers did the following things: * Deeply based the software on proprietary Microsoft-specific techonology that (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Doubt? I'm sure this will be a new micro-scale LEGO town product line. TLC is putting quite some effort (i.e., $$$) in this project. Rick Anyhow... just my 2 cents. (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Hi Jake, hi Ray, (...) as a Linux user I also don't like this restriction. I don't mind much that the software doesn't run under Linux. But I do mind if this is used to exclude non-MS-Windows users from community activities. Please allow entries in (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Are you (general MAC-you, no one person in particular) trying to tell me (a PC-user) that MAC's don't have emulators to run non-MAC software on a MAC? I find that hard to believe. I even have an emulator to run MSX-games on my PC. I believe a (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com to LDraw color conversions

(...) It looks like those are Lego color numbers. Using your list and the info from my Color Tree pages, I've made this conversion chart: (URL) let me know of any updates/errors. Hope that helps, Clark (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.cad, lugnet.color)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) I'm also a Mac user, and am bummed that I won't be able to try this. Something hits a nerve anytime anyone brings up the market share issue. Granted, Apple's market share is pretty low among BUSINESS users. In schools and homes - which is (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)
