Just bounced this off the Head of the Architecture Department (heh, that
sounds funny), and hes pretty jazzed about the concept. Anyone hazard a
guess as to what 5% royalties for 6 months might actually turn out to be?
Or is $100 a good guess?
|
.05 (royalty) x $10 (each) x 5 (per store per week) x 1,000 (stores) * 26
(weeks) = $65,000
Thats a VERY conservative estimate. I expect it would make a great college
fund.

I believe the site says 5% of net profit, not retail cost. And I doubt most
outlets will carry these items.

If its 5% of the profit then the designer might conceivably ending up owing
money to LEGO... ;)
Why wouldnt retail outlets carry them? Micro town sets? Excellent
point-of-sale impulse buy object, especially since it looks like theyll fit
together modularly to form a much larger whole. On top of that, you have the
whole PR value of Designed by LEGO fans for LEGO fans!
LEGO Micro could be huge (pun intended).
