Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

So basically they are proposing to do "Cafepress for LEGO". Bloody brilliant if you ask me although I have to figure out how to justify something like $350 (cdn) to buy Virtual PC for my Mac. :( I also am looking forward to packs of the new road (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) It had been indeed often been topic of debate, but I am afraid economics dictate this. As only 5-10% is non-PC user, it does not make business sense to develop a mac version. On the other hand, it is well known that the "average" Mac user has (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Definitely! To me it came up as trying to be hung off a LUGNET path which clearly is wrong unless I *really* missed a memo! FTX URLs can be tricky to get right. But hats off to Jake for bringing us this info in a hurry, FTX URL snafus are not (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) That also makes sense--that said, I know when I clicked on the link provided via FTX, it was a little wonky. Ahh, the internet... in all its mixed-up glory--the propagation of names is fickle--I have no problem here in southern Ontario, but (...)   Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Thanks Dave, I think that there's a chance the domain name may not have propagated everywhere yet, as it times out for me too, even using the pasted link. Patience, Patience... The stuff at club.lego.com is accessable though, and shows off the (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) While I'm very very happy to see something like this happening, I will not be able to participate becuase I (like a few others here it seems) do not use Windows. This page (URL) states "LEGO Digital Designer is not Apple Macintosh compatible." (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Hey Manfred, THe link seems to be posted incorrectly using FTX--try cutting and pasting the link-- (URL) your web browser or click on the link I just provided. Dave K (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

  LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

Posting on vacation, yep I'm that dedicated! :) I just got this note from colleagues and couldn't stand waiting a week to post about it!   Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) Ya, but I can get by without all that other stuff, while LEGO? LEGO I gotta have. :-) (...) Follow up on that line of discussion probably ought to go to off-topic.debate (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.lego)

Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) You're worried about just Lego? Everything made out of plastic, from clothes to carpets to housing materials to cars to appliances to electronics to computers to decorative junk around the house will increase in cost. Plastic, its everywhere. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.lego)

(...) This is the one I was going to call 'D' (...) I did not get any of these, so this would be 'E' (...) Someone emailed me privatly and indicated that he had found six versions of the large bonus bag. So there may be an 'F' lurking about as well. (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: 4562 Revealed! (was Spring Cleaning...)

(...) I've gotton two more large bonus bag varieties (D and E, I guess). I don't know which one you already have, so I've listed both below. There's one part in the second set that I couldn't find an official color to match to - it's the one I (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Spring Cleaning Goodies
