Re: 4562 Revealed! (was Spring Cleaning...)

(...) I just got some here in Indiana, and I *thought* they were all identical, but I'm not certain now. In any event, I got (in each box) some of those "1x1 slope plates" or whatever you want to call them, first seen on the new BNSF loco. But these (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Spring Cleaning Goodies

When I inquired about the set, a floor clerk did not know what I was talking about. But he did say that tons of toys are coming into Walgreens for the holidays. So he took my card and a picture of the 4679 box that I printed. The clerk then passed (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: 4562 Revealed! (was Spring Cleaning...)

Peeron's inventory for this set is SO screwy, I can't trust it. It is listing 8x8 bricks, and teal 2x4s, that none of the 9 I've gotten have. It would be nice if the inventory ONLY listed the [standard] bricks from the set, as many people parting (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Spring Cleaning Goodies

(...) When you call and ask about availability, do you give them the set number or the SKU? I've given them both the set number and a picture of the set (I don't have the SKU), but none of the Baltimore Walgreen's has heard of the 4562. Marc Nelson (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

"Jake McKee" <jacob.mckee@america.lego.com> wrote in message news:I6D5KG.3r3@lugnet.com... (...) For those of you who couldn't find any 4562's at Walgreens, or if you bought up all the ones they had last week, it may be worth going back. Last (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) snip Does anyone have the Walgreen's SKU number for the 4562? Thanks! Marc Nelson Jr. (22 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Shop At Home Free Shipping once again

(...) I noticed that after you pointed it out, since I had only really looked at the tree the first time I saw the cover. :) Then I looked at the tree again. Did you notice the octagonal piece that they used on the top of it? They used this piece: (...) (22 years ago, 3-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.lego)

Re: Shop At Home Free Shipping once again

(...) Do you mean appealed to you as a buyer of sets for yourself? Or as a parent/adult buying for children? That was my suggestion, just to clarify my point from yesterday. I was imagining a catalog where products were the same as they are now, but (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.lego)

Re: Shop At Home Free Shipping once again

(...) I got one. I agree with Maggie's characterization of the types of sets featured in it. Further, I feel the same way about the targeting, (with no hard evidence, but with a strong feeling) that she does, it was targeted at adults.   Re: Shop At Home Free Shipping once again

(...) Here's a pic of the cover: (URL) I have no background in marketing, so all I can really say is that it appealed to me and I intuitively know it was intentionally created to do so. As for the difference in contents, I would estimate the average (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.lego, FTX)
