  LEGO and Eggo Waffles?

I just saw the end of a commercial on TV about LEGOs and Eggo Waffles. Can someone post more information about this? (20 years ago, 25-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Super Chief set not ready for prime-time

(...) I picked up 300mm x 3mm rod just in a local hobby shop (URL) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Why price doubled on baseplates?

Someone at Shop@Home mis-priced them. They cost more than 5.99 for dealers, WHOLESALE so I knew something was up, but it took them along time to figure it out it seems. Heck I bought our store stock from shop@home since it was cheaper than wholesale (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Why price doubled on baseplates?

I bought a pack of the new road plates a month or so ago: (URL) costing CN$5.99 for the pair. Now I see the price is CN$11.99 for the pair. Yikes! That's quite the price increase. What gives? (Especially since I have a new kit based on the straight (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: NXT Pre orders start April 1st!!!

Totaly agree.. In the netherlands it's 299 euro. 1 euro = 1.219870 usd and 1 usd = 0.819875 euro When i calculate 299 euro to dollar, the box cost 364 dollar. and otherwise 249 dollar = 204.15 euro......... that's a different of almost 95 dollar :-( (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego)

Re: NXT Pre orders start April 1st!!!

(...) If I do it, I am going to find a third party to ship from the US to Canada because it is cheaper to do that and pay shipping, taxes and duty than it is for me to buy at the MSRP in my own country. Jude (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego)

Re: NXT Pre orders start April 1st!!!

(...) Agreed. I didn't realise this until today. The UK cost is almost £40 more than the US, but can't you just order from the states? Thomas (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego)

Re: NXT Pre orders start April 1st!!!

(...) Yeah well I know this has been said many times before, but I'm gonna keep saying it, and maybe one day something will change. I *WILL NOT* be rushing out to pay AU$430 for this set. And I think it sucks that there is still such a discrepancy (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.lego) !

Re: Super Chief set not ready for prime-time

Cool, missed that part. Now...details on the sizing, where to buy, etc? I'm sure I could bore out some brass rod, but if you have a supplier that stocks the right size, it would save a ton of time... (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Super Chief set not ready for prime-time

A slightly better solution may be to find similar stock in the pre-lubricated bronze used for bushings. I don't know the true name of the stuff, but if tubing of the right size could be found, you wouldn't need to worry about grease or oil. (...)   Re: Super Chief set not ready for prime-time

(...) Hi all! This is in fact a nice idea! But I have one comment to make: this solution is causing friction between brass tube and metal axle, while the original solution is "rubbing" only on the very tip of the metal axle. The higher the diameter (...) (20 years ago, 12-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)
