  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

Yeah, I got it the first time, but I still managed to type plates instead of TILES. That's what happens when you stare at a computer screen too long. I can't think of any sets that had clear TILES. I still say it had to be an early town set..... (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

No, no. Lots of sets used clear 1 x 1 plates, i'm asking about clear 1 x 1 tiles though. And it can't be too "early" cause the collection i received it in is from 1989 to 1999 (ish). I'm open to the possiblity that it's a clone, but i'm also hopeful (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

I missed the plates part. Sorry, my bad. I can't think of any set that used 1x1 clear PLATES.... It must have been some early set. Definitely wasn't space or castle, I have most of those. :D It had to have been a town set. "Jennifer L. Boger" (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

(...) Sorry Dave! but those clone bricks, they just ain't got the groove! (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

(...) Hey now, clone plastic is genuine--it's just not genuine *ABS*! Good call about the Tyco height thing, and I don't believe MegaBloks has produced a 1x1 tile to date. Coko is the other brand that comes to mind, of which a Wal*Mart promotional (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

Quoting Dave Schuler! <dschuler@federatedinv.com>: (...) This crossed my mind that it might be a clone, but the plastic seems genuine, there's no lego markings, it's got the groove, and unlike the clones that were in the batch (tyco and megablok), (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

(...) Clear 1x1 tiles are common among clone brands, and they often don't have any clone-specific markings on them. Does the tile in question show the LEGO part number anywhere? Dave! (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

1 x 1 plates, yes, but TILES - not that i know of. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

Didn't a bunch of the early town cars use clear 1x1 bricks as lights? Could be from an early police set.... "Jennifer L. Boger" <jenn@peeron.com> wrote in message news:1049727484.3e91...ron.com... (...) has (...) there (...) not, (...) family (...) (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: Clear 1 x 1 tiles?

(...) I'm kind of doubting that it's from LLW. I purchased the lot off of a family with 3 boys, the rest of the collection is from 1989ish to 1999ish. I don't think they've purchased anything more recently as the last year or 2 or 3. :) Jennifer (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.inv)
