Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Benjamin Ellermann
I have created a new town building, a Dry Goods Store. I am using this MOC as an example of my process to make high quality building instructions. I still need to write a how to section for Jake's Building Instructions Portal but here are the (...) (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.town, lugnet.western)

(...) simple to build but is so detailed! Nice use of parts for the shop objects and I especially like the way you made the top "sign part" on the roof. I have to say that your design looks a lot better than TLC's Wild West General Store design. (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Re: Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Benjamin Ellermann
(...) Thank you. My goal was to make a set that would be easy to build. (...) I was trying to make a "run down" appearance for the parapet. This store could be in the wild west or a small town in the 1880's-1920's. (...) I am happy that you like the (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Re: Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Shirley Kearns
(...) Hi Ben, As a relative newcomer (and at a late age) to Lego, I always appreciate building instructions. It gives me ideas and shows me how to do things. I really like your instructions, and the main reason is the little boxes that show the (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Re: Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Benjamin Ellermann
(...) Many of the custom LEGO set instructions and newer LEGO instructions have these boxes. They are a great feature and prevent builders from missing pieces in a step. (...) Sure, I am glad to help. I enjoy making instructions so others can build (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Hi Ben, It is nice to see how people use LPub to create building instructions. As the author I've been curious how people use LPub as part of a process. This helps me plan for future enhancements to LPub. (...) I was thinking about writing up a web (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Re: Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Benjamin Ellermann
(...) I hope my images and article will help you. I am only using version 2.0.0.58 It is simple to use. No offense but the other documentation for future versions is very long and somewhat confusing. Newbies would be extremely lost. I think there (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst)

Re: Instruction Tutorial - Dry Goods Store —Kevin L. Clague
(...) There will always be one version of LPub, but I know LPub too well to write a good beginner document. Anyone want to volunteer to write one? I already wrote a chapter in a book on LPub, so it will be a while before I get enough literary energy (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.cad)

(...) I agree. English was not my favorite class. <snip> (...) Thank you for putting this in. I was unaware of it. :) (...) Thanks. <snip> (...) I agree although your technic instructions look very good. <snip> (...) This is very true. Making large (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.cad)

<snip> (...) You are very welcome. I'm not offended in the least. As a person with an artistic eye, I really don't think that you can make a computer program that can replace the human element and hope to come up with the beauty of something like (...)    (...) I don't mean to sound dense, but I just want to see if I understand correctly. The image noted above was created by by LPub, utilizing L3P and POV-Ray while not requiring the user to actually launch the other programs? If I am reading some of (...)
