Recalling a bit of history... .PNG was to be the .GIF replacement (due too all the legal stuff around .gif) which is mostly for palletized graphics, in which case PNG is great. JPEG image format and the new callout capabilites in LPub (plus PLI background color non-white which I just fixed) are incompatible with JPEG because when you pack images together that are rendered with the same background color, not all the (...) There are several ways of doing it, depending on your OS, etc. Even if you are not able to generate them on your server, it's still easy to set something up. If you're (...) (...) How about resizing the images via code. i.e. look at the dimensions of the image and scale it down to meet your requirements.
