Re: Rodria Fine School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

(...) Please lose the music, at least beyond the welcome page... Also, your welcome page misformatted in Netscape 4.75, the LEGO disclaimer appeared on top of the intro text. Hmm, the next page is all messed up also. It was hard to find additional (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

(URL) (today's comic) shows that Pete must have gotten some Harry Potter sets! (true fans can spot why in a sec) Must be Peter G's note REALLY kicked in. That and the eBay Sluggy figs which Pete got a copy of somehow... Did we figure out where that (...)   Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

(...) I was just looking at Jon Furman's rendition of Tolkienish "goblins" (with the goblin heads) and "orcs" (with mummy heads and mostly wolfpack hoods). In general, I don't like the one-piece heads because they defeat the very strength of Lego: (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

(...) Definitely. I already used a few in the BrikWars game I played over the weekend. :D I'd post a link to the pics, but BS is down. :( Jeff (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

(...) My initial reaction was cool! Then I thought more and decided that I wish it was actually a regular head. I'd also have preferred the Ewoks to be a regular head with printed torsos and use the forester cowl, the Star Wars cowl, or possibly a (...)   Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

(...) Yeah, painted on noses stuck out like a... oops, wrong newsgroup. Seriously, that Indian head nose looks so weird among the population. Only Timmy had a nose before that. (right?) Maybe painted-on pointed ears would be worth trying. (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

Re: What do you think of Goblin heads?

(...) If you are building an orc army, I would say - stock up. (...) I wouldn't worry about it too much - I think that we already saw noses with the native american figures, so I doubt they will have them sticking out anytime soon. (...) That would (...)   What do you think of Goblin heads?

So, the Gringott's Bank set has goblin heads with protruding ears and such. Are these a good idea in general, or best used sparingly? I figure that you can accept these heads as just one more special piece like beards and hairdos, or worry about the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow

Using parts from the Harry Potter sets (particularly the new 4712 "Troll on the Loose" one) it is now all too easy to construct a Headless Horseman mini-fig. I threw this one together and snapped a few pics using the new camera (combo s-vhsc (...)   spiral stairs defective?

I took a look at my stairs but I can't tell if they are defective or not. How do you know? They seem fairly loosey goosey but I thought that's what its supposed to be like..? I guess I'm just a muggle? (23 years ago, 28-Dec-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: A closer look at defective spiral stairs GOT S@H Package!

I just received today the Consumer Affairs package to send the defective pieces back, so I will keep everyone informed as to what happens. But I still think everyone who has these bad pieces should call consumer affairs themselves to get the right (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

  Re: Pumpkinhead!

(...) You're right! I hadn't thought of that but the troll head does look a lot like The Phantom. I was thinking of it as "another zombie head." The coloring is great but the thing that makes the troll head for me is that nose. Rare enough for a (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: A closer look at defective spiral stairs
