| | After picking myself up off the floor I have several comments. Someone commented that a lot of the catalog was Star Wars sets. Note that this catalog came out of a Star Wars Snow Speeder set. I suspect that other sets will have different small (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

In particular, the extreme slope lends itself well to "accurate" scrutural building - for an excellent example of this, (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

| | | | | (...) From a purely architectural view, extreme slopes make for great Mansard roofs. Those are the ones you see all over Paris, as well as American Victorian, Empire, Italianate, Beaux Arts, and other historic styles. The 1x2x3 and 2x2x3 regular (...) | | | | From a purely "parts" perspective, 2000 sets will be nice. The large castle set has at least 16 of the 2x2x3 blue corner extreme slopes..... horrray. The Soccer set has 4 of the gray corner extreme slopes... yes! And someone said orange concave (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Go figure, lighting has a real impact on whether grey appears light or dark! And I also *think* those are 2x2x2 'minifig dress' slopes (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

It looks like 5938 Oasis Ambush is about as good as it gets for the next year, anyway. 76 pieces, MSRP $8, includes 4 2x2 blue steep slopes as well as a palm tree and a number of other decent pieces. | | | | | I'll be parting out about 15-20 5938s, I'm trying to decide if I will auction parts here, sell them, or Ebay them. I also need to decide if I put all the 2x2x3 blue slopes in one big lot or not - if so, that would make a good bit of a roof ;-) (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
