Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle (was: Re: More news on 2000 lineup!) —Mike Stanley
(...) This is what I responded to. It appears that this person refers Ninja to more traditional Castle subthemes. I still maintain the Ninja subtheme sucks. I don't see how anyone could prefer it to real Castle stuff. (...) Maybe. (...) I didn't (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle (was: Re: More news on 2000 lineup!) —Todd Lehman
(...) It would appear that way, at least partially. He may also be comparing it only to the mid- to late-90's Castle sets and not to the glory days mid-80's sets...? (...) I don't see how anyone could prefer Pepsi to Coke. I don't see how anyone (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

B5 (was: Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle) —Richard Franks
(...) Hey! I reserve the right to be a doofus but... <..insert long-winded defence of B5 here..> Actually, the reason why I'm not going to write up a long-winded defense of B5 is because to the best of my knowledge the networks over in the US failed (...)           Re: B5 (was: Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle) —Todd Lehman
(...) Oh, Sorry, those were just stereotypical examples. I don't hate Pepsi or think it sucks, and I don't think Macs suck (even though I mostly hate them), and I haven't watched B5 enough ever to draw any conclusion one way or the other. --Todd (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: B5 (was: Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle) —Mike Stanley
(...) Only episode I ever watched from start to finish was one with Chekov as some kind of psychic secret police dude. Mostly sucked. I watched bits and pieces of the show from time to time, but the only lasting impression I got from it was the same (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: B5 (was: Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle) —Richard Franks
(...) Compare that episode to set 666-2 "Burp Adventure" (...) That's fair enough - a lot of it doesn't make sense unless you see it in context. (...) That's fair enough too :) But it's kind of like seeing some Town Jr and Ninja sets and saying (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

If I had to recommend just five episodes, then obviously they would be: - Babylon Squared - War Without End (Part One) - War Without End (Part Two) - The Coming of Shadows - Z'ha'doum (or however (...)       (...) Well, aside from the fact that most Mac users ARE doofuses, yes, I get your point. :) (...) That's ok, you're just being a doofus, as am I. (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Hey, I like Pepsi :-) Much better than Coke, IMO. It is sweeter. I'll drink either, but when I have the choice, it is always Pepsi for me. (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!) —Bram Lambrecht

I bet that if you tasted unmarked samples, you wouldn't be able to tell which was which... --Bram BTW, I have two black falcon fortresses, but that's the extent of my castle (...)       (...) Pepsi is waaayy too sweet for my taste, so I possibly could. It got me to thinking - re the pepsi taste challange.. could you 'feel' the difference between Lego and Megablocks blindfolded? Sounds almost like a LegoFest party-game :) Richard (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!) —Mike Stanley
(...) No difference, really - they're all horrible. I gave up cola beverages years ago and now, when I end up tasting them from time to time I want to rinse my mouth out immediately.         Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle (was: Re: More news on 2000 lineup!) —Thomas Main

(...) Well, they both represent Fuedal periods in their respective cultures, and I assume that is why they are "Castle" sets. When you said "era", did you mean that they were both fuedal, or that they existed at the same time? If the latter, you're (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)
