  6444

I was browsing through my local toystore yesterday, and of course I went to the Lego section. I looked around, nothing new. But then I noticed something behind a 6426, a bit of yellow and grey, I quickly took out the 6426, and to my astonishment, I (...) (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 6444

(...) On sale at $9.99 at KB it was very popular with me (even at $12.99). I've got close to 20 copies. Lots of nice parts. (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 6444

(...) Wow! That's more than I have (depending on the definition of "close"... I have close to 20 copies too if we define close to mean "off by 12") I had no idea you were that obsessive! It IS a good set for parts. (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 6444

(...) 20? I only have 2! But it is a great set to get, if it is on sale, (all the ones at the store were $30.00 can) and the pieces are great especially the 1x6x9 roof pieces (note this is my first time doing something x something x something, (...) (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yea, I've probably gone off the deep end (and I don't have a significant other to slow me down), Conan, here I come... :-) (not really). The reason I said "close" is that I don't have my set inventory at work, I think I have 19... I've picked (...) (25 years ago, 14-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Alex wrote in message ... (...) Yup, you read it right. When the KB Toys LEGO clearance started earlier this year, 6444 was priced at $9.99. Eventually they realized the price was wrong (at one store, they had updated their computer but hadn't (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 6444

(...) Hi Erin, You would omit the 1 because a 1 is assumed if left blank. You would also put the one (were you to include it) as the third number. And finally, those are 8 wide, not 9. --Chris (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) This set looks ok, especially as it includes the windmill piece which has never appeared in any other set (that I know of) -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6444 (and 8414 on sale)

Frank Filz found them at 9.99 - the local KB store (in the Bayfair mall, for SF-area folks) had 4 @ 12.99, so I bought all 4. This particular store had the 8414 set on sale for $19.99 - I bought one last night, there were 3 left. Paul Sinasohn who (...) (...) I now have 5. I wanted 1, originally, and someone sold me it, (it arrived today), but last week, I found a KB with 4 of them for $12.99, and I couldn't resist. I'll be keeping a couple for trade/parts, but mean while..... The parts spread is (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
