| | | I recently received a 28 page 'idea book' with the word Byggebog on the cover. I am told 'Byggebog' means "building book" or "manual for constructions" The book doesn't have any date on it, but, according to Gary Istok, it dates from 1955 when the (...) This is the earliest "known" idea book I have ever seen, and the only one I've seen with the early 1949-56 "slotted" bricks with windows/doors with "wings" that fit into the slots. "hygge" is a special Danish word for the concept of having a nice time without partying; there is no English word for this, but is most often translated into "cosiness" or "homely atmosphere".
