| | Help!! What on Earth was I thinking? A few weeks ago I looked around at all the various tubs, cans, boxes, and other containers I have lying about, filled with various LEGO elements, so I thought I would be smart (HA!) and inventory it...y'know, get (...) | | | | (...) Two things that I've seen pop up often enough are to pay "interested parties" (your kids, neighborhood kids, fellow AFOLs, etc.) in bricks to help you sort, and to sort by shape rather than color. It's probably faster to sort by color than (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

| | | | (...) Sort what you need, leave the rest out. I have individual boxes for sorting bricks, plates and slopes in the basic colours. For some color/shape combinations I even splitted boxes, like in "Red slopes 45" and "Red Slopes other", or "Black (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

| | | | Pat- I agree with most of the advice, though recommend against 2 of your conclusions: 1.We sort by color after sorting by type. 2.We do not label containers (at least not transparent ones). We've been growing a sorted collection for 14 years, and (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)
