Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

Greetings and Salutations, I am a big fan of the new Designer series. When I saw 4506 "Sea Predators" and 4507 "Prehistoric Creatures" appear on S@H, I ordered them right away! They arrived today and I spent all evening assembling a few of the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

(...) Could you post pictures of the parts in these sets? I am really excited about the Prehistoric set (and all the dark red)! I've been eagerly awaiting an inventory on Peeron.com or Bricklink.com, but they have not yet showed up. Thanks Jeramy (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) The last page of the instruction booklet is a part inventory. I uploaded a few shots of that page from my digital camera. Sorry I don't have a scanner but the images are readable. All four images are 1280x960 and 140K-170K in file size. (2 (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Thank You, Thank You! This only affirms that this set is one of the best of 2004. The dark red piece selection is fantastic! Not to mention other useful colors and unusual pieces, and at a price point of $30 USD! Jeramy (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) You are very welcome. I agree this is one of the best sets I have seen all year, and a great deal. I'm really torn because I want to keep the great looking T-Rex but I also want to use the parts. I may have to buy another one. Happy building. (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) Hey thats the same combo I made at first ;) I really do like this set - lots of great parts and very nice designs to make. The ONLY thing I do not like about it is how the click hinges connect to the 1x2 bricks with the hole in it. For example (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) Mark, I agree about the shark fins. They also look too big. You need a couple of these: (URL) can't find this part on Peeron). 4506 has one extra of these pieces (used in the tail of the red fish) which isn't enough for the shark's fins, (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) Well, one of last years Designer Sets (URL) #4101 - Wild Collection>, has 63 model directions in the instruction booklet. I think this is one of the best sets LEGO made in the past years, I can really recommend it. If you don't have this set (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

(...) Greetings Manfred, I do have the Wild Collection set, it is another one of my favorites. In fact it was the first Designer set I bought. You are right about the instructions count, thank you for the correction. The models in 4507 are large, so (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Designer sets 4506 (Sea) and 4507 (Prehistoric)

I agree with those who said that 4507 is a great set. My only quibble with the set is the instruction book. It might just be me, but the entire book seemed to have a brownish cast. Until I was several steps into the TRex (what I made first), I (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)
