The ONLY thing I do not like about it is how the click hinges connect to the 1x2
bricks with the hole in it. For example in the shark model - the fins use this
to attach them to the body of the shark and it is VERY loose - the fins do not
stay in place at all and is quite frustrating for my kids when they try to play
with it.

I would love to see that 1x2 brick with some sort of friction in it to hold this
stuff in place.

Mark,

I agree about the shark fins. They also look too big. You need a couple of
these:

(I can't find this part on Peeron).

4506 has one extra of these pieces (used in the tail of the red fish) which
isn't enough for the shark's fins, especially if you want to keep the fish
intact.  4507 "Prehistoric Creatures" includes several of these pieces.

I fiddled around with the shark using only the parts from the set. I fixed the
fins to only move up and down using four black clicky hinges torn from the
squid's legs. First, tear off the top half of the shark's abdomen. Use
appropriate verbal sound effects or stage a spectacular fight with an attack
submarine. Then follow these steps:

Now replace the top of the abdomen:

Your mechanically enhanced Cyber-Shark is ready to hunt some unsuspecting
swimmers.  Of course this means sacrificing the squid, but maybe you have enough
parts in your collection to do a better job. :)  Enjoy.

(...) Hey thats the same combo I made at first ;) I really do like this set - lots of great parts and very nice designs to make. The ONLY thing I do not like about it is how the click hinges connect to the 1x2 bricks with the hole in it. For example (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
