I only came back to LUGNET a couple weeks ago, to check out local info on
sales. I hadn't looked at any other group, but the Colours thread spotlighted
on the home page caught my eye. Anyhow, I haven't really built anything in
a few years, and only just recently started buying a few sets again when I
catch a decent sale. Except for a few choice display models (UCS and TECHNIC),
my entire collection has been packed away in boxes for a couple years. No
room to do anything with it until I buy a house. But I'm thinking about
how much I could raise for the house if I sell it all... ;]
Anyhow, I guess I must admit that I do find the colour change somewhat
disappointing, but largely from a collectionist perspective since now my
Star Wars sets won't match. Plus maybe some nostalgia for the classic grey
which has been a staple item ever since my first LEGO set c.1978 But the new
colours give some variations for building, so I don't think it's so bad in
the big picture.
