(...) Here is the picture of what i'm talking about, the sand purple pants. the one of the left is Zam Wessell, the other one is the one i'm talking about, she has no zam leg markings, just plain sand purple. my question is if anybody knows what set (...)   Re: Emplacing a gem onto a minifig torso

Ahui, I would tend to say that any jeweler should be able to handle it. Basically, you want to bore a hole in the torso, push an earring into it, bend the pin of the earring over to lock it in, and probably also epoxy it in place. The skill will (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

A little something I'm working on...

Here's a little something I'm working on for a Classic-Castle.com article on Shield designs and stickers. I'm in the process of re-creating the triangle shield designs, by hand, by drawing over enlarged scans or vectored images. Though these (...) Kevin, I can use the same arguments about chronology for top posting...but the MAIN ADVANTAGE to top posting allows the email to be previewed and/or read without having to open the entire email...or at least it does this for those of us that use an (...) (...) It is a fairly widespread standard on discussion newsgroups (as compared to email). (...) This is fairly common for email, esp. in business contexts where retaining a complete copy of the original, for reference, is desirable. For newsgroups, (...)   Netiquette

I just noticed something when I went to reply to a post here at Lugnet that doesn't match up with the way I use email on a daily basis at work and everywhere else. In other words, who decided that when replying, the "Proper Netiquette" is that (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

Emplacing a gem onto a minifig torso

I am wonder if anyone has attempted to place any type of gem onto a torso of a minfig? I would image that you would need to fill the torso with something so that when you place the gem on the torso it won't fall off. =) Is anyone here capable of (...)   LEGO Mosaic: Song Of The Angels

I recently completed a sizable mosaic (about 6' x 8', Studs Out). Like my Mona Lisa I did years ago, this is a rendition of a well known painting: 'Song Of The Angels' by William-Adolphe Bouguereau: (URL) questions welcome, cheers, eric harshbarger (22 years ago, 27-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.general) !!

Newspaper: Lego is firering 257 people

Hi! I found this in the paper today: (URL) made me look for this: (URL) stock is to large... I wonder if the "crisis" is still present in the world, as for now people are taking about a rise within the next 6 months... maybe that will help sales? (...)   Re: 2 Lego Stores open today!

Well, it was nice meeting you on saturday Tim. As soon as i got home i tore open the designer set and put together a mecha, then i opened up the pick-a-brick cup and sorted the parts, i was actually suprised how much i got for only 12 bucks.   Re: Ancients Theme - armies, buildings, and cilivizations

(...) Excellent! I also like to build fairly 'big.' I find trying to scale a floorplan to actual minifig dimensions dictates a pretty large building. So, if live anywhere near New Hampshire..well, my castle can whoop your castle in a bit o' (...) (22 years ago, 26-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

Ancients Theme - armies, buildings, and cilivizations

I've been working on my Ancients Theme for past 3 years. I was a Castle fan but after witnessing the gigantic castles made by other Lego fans I decided to out do them. So to go one better, I decided to make MOCs far larger than a castle, so I moved (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Variants on old train couplers

Last monday at Legoworld in Zwolle I bought some second hand bricks, including two old train couplers as in set 403 (URL). When I looked at these couplers at home, I noticed that they were different.   Price difference

Dear Lego, I noticed 8453 is listed on Lugnet as costing $20,-. As it's EUR 24,95 in dutch shops I thought I'd compare the S@H price: US: $19,99, NL $29,45! (EUR 24,99) On the front page of the US shop site I noticed the new UCS Snowspeeder for (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-03, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Correcting some misinformation in "LEGO Software Power Tools, With LDraw, MLCad, and LPub"

  Re: 4400 Red Creator Tub
