Tangentially... I have to sort of agree with what John Gerlach said, the job
of Modelbuilder is likely not to fit peoples expectations at all... its
likely to be very constraining, especially when you have to build the same
thing more than once...

I think the crew at Carlsbad dont get this as much as the people in Enfield.
Ive spent a morning at the model shop in Enfield, at the time they were
building several hundred (several thousand?) copies of toucan sam for a
breakfast cereal promotion. I built just two of them, and I was ready for a
change! (Im trying to find a picture, Ill repost if I can get it.)
In Carlsbad, the only time you might build several copies of something is if
its something small, like a light pole or the balcony on a building. Most of
the stuff they do is one-of-a-kind models, like the characters and landmarks.
There would also be a LOT of public time, meeting with park guests, promotions,
special events, and such.
Personally, Id *love* the job, theyd have to chase me out of there when the
model shop closes at night. <sigh>
Hmmm... Maybe I could run a Bricklink store on the side in order to make more
money? Think of the unique pieces Id find at the model shop!! *grin*
