Id like to see them do the flag though, just to see if they can get the
diagonal detail. Have a look at the diagonal red stripes on one. Theyre
not centred on the diagonals, theyre above and below the diagonal. It
makes it a very subtle difference to spot if the flags being flown
upside-down.
Of course, I dont hold out much hope based on this one. The American
flags either extremely old, or they skimped on the stars a bit...

Have you seen the one I did to liven up the loc.uk sidebar a bit? Ive been
meanign to tell you about it since your the big mosaicist. I plan to get a
better lit pic soon and Ive spotted one small error which I have to fix
first. This is the smallest I reckoned it would look passable. I think its
35 bricks wide by 43 plates high.

I had seen it. Its a good one. Ive only done a tiny one for the back of my
piggy-back train car - about five studs by 8 plates. Theres no real detail,
but you can just about tell what its supposed to be.
Its the French and Germans that have it easy with Lego flags. Mind you, to
make a stand-alone one youd have to sneak in some 1x1 technic bricks to hold
the coloured bars together. Could be very useful for those parts.
