Aaron,
Yes, I did LOOK at tformers.com before posting this. No where in my post
did I say that these were official LEGO Transformers. I quoted a line from
an article headline that I read that led me to the catalogue scans. I did
not quote "Lego Transformers" by itself--it was within the context of the
"Built to Rule" title; sorry for any confusion. My thread title uses the
phrase "LEGO brickish" as a compound adjective (I'm not sure of the
technical grammatical name) and within my post I explicitly said that these
toys are
> "joined in the manner of the system originated by the LEGO Company".
While I could have said MEGA Bloks or other imitators, I went with TLC
because they started this remarkable system.
Again, I did not say that these were Transformers made by the LEGO Group.
Furthermore, the questions I posed within the intial thread lead to
discussion of excellent My Own Creation models fans have made and, with
their existence, why a joint venture of such wonderful ideas--Transformers
and LEGO bricks--did not come to fruition.
Sincerely,
Andrew P. Saada
