I am recommending a change to the polling system. This change will allow he
poll's admin to choose to hide the results, either through a certain date or
forever. This allows for the polls to be used for more senstitive subjects,
where the results should be hidden, ie: CLSOTW.
In the case of CLSOTW, it is not fair to know who is winning until this
week's winner is announced on Monday, therefore, the results should be
hidden until Monday. Seeing the results ahead of time hurts CLSOTW. IE: If
I were a member, I wouldn't bother to vote for my fave, Amy's Lego site,
because she right now has an overwhelming lead and she will probably not
win. Also, the other nominees will go out and feel bad when they see their
site isn't doing all that well.
This adjustment should be pretty easy and would allow for a much more useful
polling system. With or without the change, this new polling system gets my
vote! (I will love the day I am allowed to become a member of this great place)
