  True Love

Aloha all She wasn't mad when I came home from the school fair with a $15 tub of Lego (on top of all of the other little purchases that I sneak through). She wasn't even mad that I stayed up all night pawing through it trying to put the various (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) I had to laugh reading this. :-, My wife and I are true Legomaniacs, even before we were married. We came out of our dark ages together, and it's been sweet ever since. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 15-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

Yeah, my wife helped me over an entire weekend, sorting 10 Dacta sets. And when I told her I had ordered 18 more 5571s today, and they had 1700+ pieces in each, and that I would be breaking up 6-10 for auction, her reply was "oh boy, more sorting". (...)   Re: True Love

(...) 18 5571's? You are insane, dear sir. I dreaded even sorting out *one*. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

Oh nonono - I am only parting out 6-10 of them, the rest are being kept to build a fleet, each a little different from the other, or for far future trades for 8448 SuperCars. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) But I'm willing to bet the baggies in the 5571's are better organized than the ones in the 9365's. They'd have to be. Nothing could be worse than the 9365. Steve (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Sorry about that, but I'm still not knowing what the NLSO is (www.dictionary.com doesn't work for that) Selçuk (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Non-Lego Significant Other I have one of them too :-) Duane (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) Parting out 18 is much easier than 1 if you take the same bag out of all 18, then do the next bag, etc.. (25 years ago, 18-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

On the contrary, 9365 wasn't bad at all, ESPECIALLY since there were 2 types of bags that were doubled up (which shows me there is a DEFINITE logic to the weird piece placement for baggies - odds are those baggies were used in some other set too), (...) (...) Try Derek Schin's RTL speak document at: (URL) I know the question was answered already but it does answer more then the NLSO question for future benefit) Mike (25 years ago, 19-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) That is a logical approach. But let's be anal for a moment: Build all 18 - "just to make sure" - then take them apart and _then_ sort. :-) -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 19-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) Nah. Just rip open all the bags, dump all the pieces into one big pile, and then jump in it. Err, then sort it out. Steve (25 years ago, 19-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) I suppose your \(NL\)?SO does not read this? ;-) How does LEGO and SO mix for you people, BTW? My SO normally encourages me to buy more LEGO, and she's usually happy to see what I build. But she can get a bit bored if I ask her if she wants to (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: True Love

(...) You mean in the 9365 set? They're laminated poster-board. The instructions are on one side, and the "road-plates" are on the other. Definitely not as good as 9354, which had real 32x32 roadplates. Steve (25 years ago, 21-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

Steve, Yes, I did mean 9365. Laminated poster board? Wow. I feel sorry for the kids that use those... Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)
