.Mecha and .Arch aren't supported by Lego either, but Mecha is well over
3000 posts now and .arch is is a pretty popular group as well. Besides,
there are at least two custom military kit sites up now, soon to be three in
a few weeks...

Even though custom models are more expensive than official models and far
more limited, they are definitely something worth talking about...
But I also think that this group could be a place to discuss military topics
in the real world as well, not just lego creations, any thoughts?
