Et in Arcadia Lego Redux (New and Improved) —Paul Hartzog
howD, Et In Arcadia Lego ( (URL) ) has been completely rebuilt for your viewing pleasure... complete w/ a "Jump to" drop-down menu, new "Resources" section, and inline content... For serious browsers only (IE5 or Netscape 6) ;-) -paul (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

RE: Et in Arcadia Lego Redux (New and Improved) —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Is it really necessary to use inline frames? Without them, the page would be viewable in Netscape 4 as well. It also helps if you use GET for your forms so that people can easily link to specific models on your page. Just my .02, --Bram Bram (...)          Re: Et in Arcadia Lego Redux (New and Improved) —William R. Ward
(...) By using server-side includes, you can achieve the same design while still retaining compatibility with other browsers. Look at my web site (URL below in signature) for an example; the design is structurally much the same, but since I use (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.html)

Re: Et in Arcadia Lego Redux (New and Improved) —Juergen Stuber
(...) I find it really childish to shut out people for some lousy frames. Why can't you at least put in a link to the frame inside the noframes element instead of insulting people by demanding that they install some particular browser that they (...)         Re: Et in Arcadia Lego Redux (New and Improved) —Steve Runnels
(...) Aw now, that's not very nice. And IIRC, iframes and ilayers(not sure if Paul used this or not for NS users) have been around at least since version 4 of both browsers. So the frame has nothing to do with it. Anyway it's his site and he can (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)

At least my Netscape 4.76 doesn't show them, he shows the text in the noframes element which is not very helpful, to say the least (in hindsight it is probably because Javascript is turned off).         only paint w/ grey —Paul Hartzog
the bottom line here is this: If the color-blind people of the world insisted that all the painters paint with grey and NOT red/green blue/yellow what do YOU think would be the response? I studied all of the angles of my new site design (and it's (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: only paint w/ grey —Mladen Pejic
I like the website design Paul, very cool. However, I do have to side with Juergen. The content should be your main goal. By restricting some people from viewing it, you lose out on having people see your work. Maybe this doesn't bother you very (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: only paint w/ grey —Bram Lambrecht
(...) I think color blind people have a right to insist that *designers* (not fine artists) avoid red/green or red/dark gray color schemes. You must realize that one in five males suffers from some degree of color blindness (usually red/green). I (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
