  New Sculpture on Lego S@H

I don't think anyone posted this yet, but there is a new sculpture on the US S@H site. A replica of the Sopwith Camel British airplane. It looks neat enough that this might become the first sculpture I buy. -Jeff (23 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.general) !

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) Whoa. That is so freakin' cool!! I need one to put on display at work, some coworkers have been asking when I am going to get some new stuff there. :) Jeff (23 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) Yes! I second that! The price is only $49.99 [+ s/h of course] with a piece count of 577. I wonder exactly how the rigging for the wing is built? Does this mean that a Fokker biplane or triplane is next? The Red Baron's plane would be awesome. (...) (23 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) Good eye Jeff, I haven't seen that yet. Very cool, I may buy 2! This would go well with that snoopy sculpture that is featured on Brickshelf! The other thing I thought of is this: Since TLC is making more sculptures, they must be selling well, (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) Aside from being a really cool-looking model (which it definitely is), this set comes with some neat pieces: -brown 4x8 space wings -red rounded fences -brown 4x4 tiles w/4 studs (I think) I really hope LEGO makes a series out of these. I, for (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Wow, that is so cool... I definitely want one! Let's see... shop... shop at home exclusives... click... what the? Not avaible?!? D'oh. Did I miss some obvious piece of text somewhere stating when this will be available? Nonetheless, good eye (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) Aircraft being my favorite, I thought I'd try to buy the very first several of this great looking set. I just got off the phone with the S@H lady, (it was a surprise to her too) and it is not available yet. As in, the system will _not_ let (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) FALL!? Bummer, but then I will actually have the money to buy some. With all the crazy secrecy stuff at Lego lately, it seems to go against their current practices to show something then not offer it for a long time. If my memory serves me (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H

(...) It looks more like a model team set then a regular sculpture. And since they already got the stickers, may be they should make the Spitfire! (...) They were against making modern military sets. The 5928 bi-plane from the advanture theme were (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Sculpture on Lego S@H(ordered!)

(...) Don't you hate that? It's worse when you go to rob a bank (for more Lego) and you have to wait for them to open the doors. How bloody annoying! Still at least you tried. GREG~ "Simple ideas come from simple minds" (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Take a look at the way prices are dropping $200 -> $150 -> $100 -> $50 ... Does that mean the next sculpture is free? :-) Jude (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Look at the piece counts - they are dropping as well: 2,845 --> 1,800 --> 1535 --> 577 Does that mean the next sculpture will be less than 100 pieces? ;-) - Bob (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.general)
