(...) of (...) printing (...) material (...) OK. I committed treason and bought one of the neon color MB tubs. The binding performance while less powerful than Lego was totally consistant. I fully belive that the differnce in quality at this point (...) (23 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

(bits snipped for brevity) (...) My most recent clone purchase (if anyone repeats that I'll deny it :-) ) was the Blue Thunder Pro Builder set (blue & yellow jet plane). The inconsistency I experienced (which I haven't seen change much over time) (...) (23 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) binding (...) the (...) related (...) Ok. I couldn't help myself, I purchased a Battleship and an Aircraft Carrier. In those sets the plates are just as consistent as the bricks. I found 4 1x1 cylinders that didn't grip very well but there (...) (23 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) There (...) I agree they (MB) are great value for bulk grey. Unfortunately, it's not the same shade as Lego grey, so they can't be mixed 'n' matched. Of course, this may not often be a problem... ROSCO (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: What Kids really want. Not Juniorization.

(...) Once your collection of grey 2x4 bricks features a 1000:1 ratio of MegaBloks to LEGO, then it's the *LEGO* that are the wrong shade! 8^) Dave! (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) No offense, but I find it difficult to believe. What information is this based on? (That Lego's profit margins are below 40%.) (...) Sorry, I don't follow from premises to conclusion... Kevin (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: What Kids really want. Not Juniorization.

(...) Yikes! It'll be a while before that happens! How many battleships do I need before I accumulate 2 million 2x4 bricks? :P James (fut o-t.clone, for lack of a lugnet.shameless-bragging) (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Well, Ritvik really packs those boxes, so you'll probably only have to buy 2 or 3 to accumulate that many! 8^) Dave! (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: What Kids really want. Not Juniorization.

(...) 8?) Not commenting as to which is "right" or "wrong". But if I need to use 1x2x3 slopes, I can't use MB, 'cos they don't make 'em (that I know of), and it looks pretty disgusting with grey MB alongside Lego!! ROSCO (23 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: What Kids really want. Not Juniorization.

(...) Wow! A box with a million 2x4 bricks! Maybe I'll pick up a half-dozen at the next BOGO 50%, and build that extension on my house I've been meaning to get to... ;) (I don't think I have a sufficient grasp of the sizes involved - I can't imagine (...)   Re: What Kids really want. Not Juniorization.

(...) Well, for me at least, it depends on what affect you are looking for. "Natural" rock formation have a dispurate (sp) variety of shades of color. In this case, MB may be what you are looking for to lend to the illusion of rock, other than the 3 (...) (23 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)
