  New world record for highest Lego tower planned
 
In Hannover (northern Germany) some Lego guys are trying to build the highest Lego tower with help of anyone who comes along: old record is 25.20 meters. These guys plan to build it 50 cm higher (more is not allowed, since Lego wants to do a lot of (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Lego is not just supporting this event. A PR-agency is making whole planning and supporting the event for TLC. They have computed the static and the have millions of bricks brought with them.... The tower itself is build by visitors of the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Sorry, but i fear there will be no further pictures available, because I live 70 km away from Hannover. So I have no older pictures too. Anyway: I'm a little upset about typical Lego policy. There is no hint to be found on www.lego.com about (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I think it has to be finished now (at lest that was planned), but I have no informatiopn about how long the tower will stand there. It's to be found in the north of Hannover near the airport.
