Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —moz
rocketman@familyradio.com says... (...) No, but it feels better to say "RTFF" than simply to send back a mail- spawn with a copy of his message and the comment "I didn't want to receive this". By its non-reply I suspect it doesn't actually read RTL (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I suspect we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one, Moz.(1) I don't see what Andreas originally did as spam. Further I don't agree that Andreas hasn't responded to the charges. He did, in fact. At the mo I can't remember if it was (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Tom Stangl
I'll have to agree with Larry here. I don't mind a SINGLE Lego Auction announcement, as long as I don't get any more unless I reply. I don't count this particular announcement as a spam, even if I didn't ask for it, because it is pretty relevant to (...) (26 years ago, 18-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Mike Stanley
(...) Yeah, even if some of the prices (minimums that are still unbid) are a little whacky. (26 years ago, 18-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Or wacky. Well, it's not like some of mine weren't. And I said that I knew they were high, and then I withdrew them because I didn't want to sell that badly. Just to tease folks, I have that collection now. It's gonna be a LOT of work to (...) (26 years ago, 18-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Chris Moseley
Larry Pieniazek <lpien@ctp.com> wrote (...) His response claimed to have got my address from my roll call form. Which is NOT what that's for. To add insult to injury, it means that he claims to have read that my interest is Technic rather than town. (...) (26 years ago, 19-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Jesse Long
moz wrote in message ... (...) I'm moving this off-topic. So make sure you take the rest of the headers out if you reply. Proper English uses a masculine pronoun when there is an unknown person involved, or requires the longer "he or she." If the (...)         Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —John VanZwieten
Thank you, Jesse! Incorrect (but politically correct) understanding of pronoun usage with respect to gender is one of my favorite pet peeves. I remember seeing my father's "Alumni/Alumnae Directory" obviously written by someone who understands Latin (...)         Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Matthew Miller
(...) I used to hate this. But, after taking several years of German, I feel a lot better. Why? I realized that German 'recycles' a lot of pronouns for various uses. For example, "sie" is "she", "they", and the formal "you". So I figure, why not (...) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Spam from Andreas Stabno —Duane Hess
Could we possibly move this topic back to another NG? I feel that it is a rather non-Lego subject and could be put into the off-topic.debate NG.
