Gloria and Mark,  you are correct-omundo!!!!

Yes the 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x8 and 2x10 bricks have tubes underneath now (since
'58).  Th 2x8, 4x8, and 6x8 plates now have round (instead of square)
undersides.  The 1x2, 1x6 and 1x8 bricks now have posts (since circa 1965).
The 2x2 window has no protruding sill (circa 1968).  The 1x1 round bricks now
have a tapered base (circa 1965).  The 2x2 quarter circle bricks now no
longer have a "step" on the inside of the outer curve (early 1960's).  And
the 1x1 bricks (like all others) now are top injected (sometime in the late
70's or early 80's) instead of side injected (those unsightly "umbilical
cord" marks on the bricks.  And yes the font of the embossed "LEGO" on the
studs has changed several times since '57.  But otherwise, they are all
basically still the same (except for the 1x1 rounds) pieces 43 years later.

Good job Gloria and Mark!!

In 1957 LEGO came out with the classic windows (9 different) and the
classic door.  In 1958 LEGO came out with the binding brick with tubes
underneath.  In 1962 they came out with LEGO wheels.

Here's a little quiz.  Out of the thousands of pieces LEGO makes today,
only 15 have been around since 1957.  Name them.  (Hint:  some pieces
have undergone some changes, but they are still the same basic pieces).
