This affects the US or Americas distribution only as Europe has a different product name. The product does not appear in the Lego.com (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Recall of 8445 Indy Storm

Re: Recall of 8445 Indy Storm

Since the Indy Racing League (IRL) had to go to court to prove that they (not the Indianapolis Motor Sports Park (home of the Indianapolis 500) had legitimate claim to the name "Indy", they have to do all they can to protect their copyright (and it (...) Actually, the Indy Racing League is owned by Tony George, who also owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (where the 500 is run). "Indy" and "Indycar" are trademarks of the IMS. Prior to 1995, "Indycar" was used with permission by Championship Auto (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)
