8230 has all stickers. But, 8880 has two screened headlight parts

I assume that the headlight parts on the 8880 are screened because they
are 2x4 "top" slopes, and hence has a rugged surface, unsuitable for
putting decals on.  The same goes for the 8422, or rather, they are
screened because the headlights aren't flat, and thus they are unsuited
for a sticker.

That's my theory, anyway.

Fredrik

I'm with that. All the slope bricks with a logo or other painting on are
screened rather than having stckers applied.

(...) Just because I just finished putting together my new 8880, which arrived in the mail today, I feel I need to say: Amen! to that. :) Jasper (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
