Hi All,
I found this one a few weeks back, but didn't get around to mentioning
it here.
I was cruising the local thrift stores and found an 8720 Technic Power
Pack at Goodwill. Not being a Technic sort of guy (1), I saw it and
thought, ho hum, then noticed that it was marked down to $5 and had a
clearance sticker from another store that listed it as $14. I decided
to buy it, thinking that somebody could probably use it, and I could use
it to support my Pirate habit. I brought it up to the counter, and the
woman who rang it up told me that it was only $3.60. When I got home, I
checked out ye olde LUGNET and discovered that the MSRP was in the upper
thirty dollar range. 90% off, not bad, I'd say.

(1) But the $70 8480 Space Shuttle (2) that Steve Campbell pointed out
at Value City (3) may turn me into one.
(2) This could probably be a FOTW, too.
(3) They had one left on the shelf when I got mine, if anyone wants it,
let me know and I'll try to snag it before it goes away.
