But while we wait, what about *real* Y2K sets?

1541 LEGO Militia.  Features camoflage minifigs, even though this militia
operates in LEGO town, making their choice of clothing a bit odd. Also
features all the firing cannon that DIDN't go into the regular US sets. 321
pieces...irrational ranting not included.

Best-Lock, anyone?  :)  It's a military brick-system coup d'etat (imagine
diacritical)!

Any others? I know some of you can do better than this!

Mindstorm Y2K Destroyer Droid - Build a working version
of the Phantom Menace destroyer droid.  Have fun making it
roll around the room, unwind itself, and begin firing its
sensor lasers.  Unfortunately, you no longer control the droid
after Jan 1, at which point it autonomously begins to stalk
your cat.

This could improve sales of the LEGO Disassembly Tool That Cannot Be Named™,
which, I will point out, has passed all Y2K compliance tests.

Y2K Airport.  Comes with two jetliners.  (wonderful source
of window elements!)  Only You, the Lego Maniac, can make the
jetliners crash together when the air traffic control systems
lock up at midnight.

Y2K Automated Teller:  Comes with 12 minifigs, 40 1x2 green "$100" tiles, 80
gold coins of various denominations, a series of shock absorbers and technic
pieces, and and 12 little 4L antennalet pieces for "billy clubs."  When
triggered, the ATM spews "money", and your minifigs get to fight it out with
their sticks!  Live the excitement of social breakdown *today*!  OPTIONAL
WAL-MART BONUS PACK:  Includes a re-release of "Outback Racer" in green and
brown for the little survivalist in your family!

Y2K Shopper:  Includes no minifigs, but allows you to build a small store with
empty shelves.  Also includes 60 trans-neon-orange flames to simulate the store
on January 2.  Warning:  Includes simulated broken window glass that could be
harmful if swallowed; not for children under 10.

best,

Lindsay
