A few months ago my brother noticed that there are two types of walkie-talkies. One has 5 ridges on the back and one has 7. (the numbers might be wrong but they are different). One type is from the classic space era and the other is modern. KL (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

I've noticed two types of Technic axle extenders. If you look through the cross axle hole in the extenders, you'll see that in the center there is a plastic flange which keeps an axle from going all the way through the extender (it only allows an (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

I've seen 2 stud long technic rods that have the little "easier to pull" notches in them and some without. I also noticed that some of my 1x1 plates with the horizontal clip in them- on some the clip is thinner than on others. Chris (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

As my journey from the Dark Ages continues, I have noticed some variations in the basic brick... o Old CA bricks have the plastic 'tear off' (aka the umbilical) on one of the short ends of the brick. Newer bricks (ABS) have the 'tear off' on one of (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Interesting question: Has anyone noticed that some bricks now have their stud-top LEGO logos at odd varying angles? I've received several that have been at strange variance to perpendicular and to one another. LFB (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

I have 2 stud long Technic axles without the 'easy to pull' notches that were from the old Expert Builder series. When I came out of my dark ages, I got a few new sets, and saw the new 2 length axles with notches, I cheered. Most of my old ones have (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) <SNIP> Yes they do. It gets very annoying when building with old 1970's bricks. I know, because I have over 100,000 bricks from before 1980. When I built my new red LEGO Cathedral, I took pains (and pain is the correct word here) to make sure (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
